IDOL ARTISTS

WHO WE ARE

As we are currently a new business, our work force is not a large one. However the staff that we do have are experienced in many fields and are fully capable of dealing with any situation that arises. Below is a list of our current employees and the roles they play within our business.

MATT SMITH (MANAGER, PROMOTIONAL TEAM, AGENT)

Matt has worked with a number of bands throughout his school and college years, and has made significant progress in learning new styles and techniques in all aspects of modern music. He first started out playing the drums in his first year at Church Stretton Secondary School, whih is where he later went on to achieve grade 7 percussion, after only 3 years of lessons. After this he was self taught in more modern aspects of the drums, and now can learn new songs within a matter of hours. Throughout his years at school he played with many teenage bands, the most popular being Anvil, with whom he teamed with aspired guitarist Richard Fowles. After working with Richard he then went on to work with the schools orchestra group, and appeared in the highly successful school production of 'Blood Brothers'.

Since leaving Church Stretton Matt has accomplished very high awards and has progressed even further within the musical field. In his first year at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College he achieved his grade 8 acknowledgement and went onto receive both A and B grade performance marks overall. He has now in his second year also completed work on hi thrid album with his newly aclaimed band Six Sixty One. Throughout all of these achievements Matt has learned to work with as many different musical genres as possible and has therefore been able to work with hundreds of different groups producing music from jazz to heavy metal, pop and funk to accapella.

However, Matt now has new plans to progress even further if possible with his music. He state: "I want to now try and give something back to the people that have already helped me throughout my long and strenuous journey into the music business, and this is why I am setting up Idol Artists. It will give me a chance to work with many children and students and to help them to progress as I have further into the difficult and challenging world of music".

GEMMA HINDMARCH (SOLO ARTIST, DEPARTMEN MANAGER)

Gemmas story is slightly different to Matt's, but it is still very rewarding. Gemma started out at Sundorne Secondary School within Shrewsbury. She started out with her singing at a very young age, and started to produce music also at a young age. She has recently been working around the Shropshire area doing paid gigs on her own, before she came to work for Idol Artists.

However Gemma doesn't only specialse with her amazing vocal diversity. She is also an acclaimed actres and is currently working with and at the Stage 2 Performing Arts Acdemy, situated at the driving range in Shrewsbury. Here she teaches youngsters to sing and to do drama and dance, but is currently working with Stage 2 in their own production of 'Chess' at the Music Hall, Shrewsbury. With this in mind we hope to introduce drama and dance into the Idol Artists services in the not too distant future, and hopefully we can aid youngsters into the drama world aswell as music.
