After much speculation and deliberation, Matt Smith's first solo album is finally released for sale. The original 7 track album features 5 original drum tracks, written by Matt. The album also includes 2 cover tracks that Matt is preparing to do for his A Level performance exam. For the five original tracks Matt wrote and arranged all of the drum parts himself, and later on arranged backing tracks for 4 of these to include on the album. However, a 10 track version is in the process of being released, which features earlier music from Matt's GCSE and AS Level studies, of tracks that he again wrote and arranged himself. Both of these albums are available to purchase from Keith Smiths hair salon (Ditherington, Shrewsbury), Sundorne Youth Centre and off the website for a mere £5.00. If you would like a copy for yourself either contact us by phone or email and leave your details for us to get back with you. Another option would be for you to go to one of the above businesses and purchase/order the album there. You can find two tracks off the album on the Media page, situated on the toolbar, left.
The first major event run by Idol Artists is scheduled to be held on the 15th may at the gateway Shrewsbury. Rehearsal sessions have recently begun, with all musicians working on the one hour 15 minute set! It is said that there are to be some quite spectacular scenes throughout the show including a one off drum solo from Matt Smith and some new live only previews from Gemma Hindmarch and matt smith solo collaboration project.
After the critically acclaimed first album by Matt Smith being released christmas of last year work has already begun on the sequel to it. Work has already begun into the production of the album and track titles could soon be announced. The CD is set for release on the night of the cancer Research Charity Event that Fragile are appearing at on the 15th May this year so hold tight and we'll keep you posted.
